My appointments in Sociology and CREATE link my commitments to research and practice. I have tried to make my research on the stratifying practices of schools (such as tracking, ability grouping, and educational testing), and more recently school reform, relevant to practicing educators so that they can make informed decisions to ensure that excellent educational opportunities are available to all children.
